Ben Oliva is a Mental Performance Coach who specializes in training athletes and performers seeking to maximize their potential through mental training. He helps individuals and teams optimize their mental game in practice and competition by teaching evidence-based mental skills with practical techniques for application both on and off the field.
Ben received his M.Ed. in Sport and Performance Counseling from Boston University and his undergraduate degree in psychology and astrophysics from Williams College. At Williams, he played four years of varsity football and varsity baseball. He currently competes as an endurance athlete.
Prior to joining SportStrata, Ben worked for the Boston Red Sox as a member of the mental skills group. He has also worked as a collegiate baseball and football coach at Williams College, a performance counselor at the Boston University Student-Athlete Support Center, a mental skills coach for the Lesley University athletic department, and a group counselor at Riverside Day Treatment Center. Ben also worked several years as a camp director at St. Matthew's Day Camp, a summer camp for children ages 5-12.
In his free time, Ben enjoys hiking with his dog, spending time with his friends and family, and playing golf, baseball, basketball, and volleyball.
